The 2016 Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV (Aventador '16) is a mid-engined supercar designed as a high-performance variant of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4.

The Aventador SV was introduced in 2015 as the successor to the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SV, which was last produced in 2010. Only 600 units were produced for each version of the car, with 600 coupés and 600 roadsters.[1][2] The final Aventador SV rolled out in July 2017, finished in a bespoke liquid silver metallic color similar to the Liquid Metal Blue color for the Porsche 918 Spyder.[3]

Overview[edit | edit source]

Design / Chassis[edit | edit source]

The Aventador SV features improved aerodynamics, including a 180% increase in downforce from the LP 700-4, a modified front splitter, rear diffuser, and a fixed carbon fiber rear wing.[1] The car's driving dynamics have also been upgraded, with such upgrades including new enhanced electronic steering for superior maneuverability at high speeds, a magnetic pushrod suspension for superior handling, and improved rigidity through an upgraded chassis.[1] The car weighs 185 lb (84 kg) less than the standard LP 700-4 down to a weight of 3,900 lb (1,769 kg), owing to the extended use of carbon fiber both inside and outside the car.[1][4] It has a dry weight of 3,362 lb (1,525 kg), down 110 lb (50 kg) from the standard Aventador.

The Aventador SV comes in 34 base colors, 32 or 33 of which are featured as manufacturer colors in the Forza games.

Engine / Drivetrain[edit | edit source]

The Aventador SV retains the same 6,498 cc (6.5 L; 396.5 in3) naturally aspirated V12 as the standard Aventador, but modified to make 750 PS (740 hp; 552 kW).

Performance[edit | edit source]

The Aventador SV is claimed to reach 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.8 seconds, at least 0.1 seconds faster than the Aventador LP 700-4.[1] In addition, it is capable of reaching 300 km/h (186 mph) in 24 seconds, 322 km/h (200 mph) in 33.5 seconds,[5] and a top speed still "in excess of" 350 km/h (217 mph), which the SV always exceeds in every Forza title it is featured in.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

In Forza Horizon 4, the Aventador SV cannot be obtained from the Autoshow. Instead, it must be obtained from the Auction House, #FORZATHON Shop, or through the Horizon Wheelspin. In Series 10 Autumn (June 13, 2019 14:30:00 GMT - June 20, 2019 14:29:59 GMT), the Aventador SV could be obtained by reaching 80% completion for the Autumn season.

Customization[edit | edit source]

As of Forza Motorsport 7, the Aventador SV can be customized with safety lights via the Side Skirts upgrade area. In Forza Horizon 4, a second blue variant of the safety lights is also available.

Official Turn 10 remarks[edit | edit source]

When you add SV to an LP 750-4 [sic] you are getting a lighter and more powerful Aventador. Lest one forget that an Aventador is already a top shelf AWD V12 powered raging bull. There is little more to say that this car does not make clear upon a first impression and a mild awareness of its heritage. However, if you are a numbers driven aficionado try on 740 hp, 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, 186 mph in just 24 seconds and a top speed of a blistering 217 mph. If that isn’t amazing to you, consider the fact that the Aventador weighs in at more than 4,000 pounds. You don’t have to be a math wizard to realize this is a supercar of epic proportion. Better yet, just skip the math and let your right foot discover a new way to send a thrill up your spine, drive it![6]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Mistakes[edit | edit source]

  • The Aventador SV is featured with a weight rating of 3,868 lb (1,754 kg) in Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 7, erroneously making it heavier than the standard Aventador LP 700-4 except in the latter game.
    • In Forza Horizon 4, the Aventador SV is depicted with a weight rating of 3,362 lb (1,525 kg); while correctly lighter than the Aventador LP 700-4, it is now wrongly lighter than the Centenario LP 770-4. In addition, both the SV and LP 700-4's respective weight figures are incorrect due to being their dry weight figures instead of their curb weight figures.
  • As with the Aventador LP 700-4, the Aventador SV's name is wrongly displayed as Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV (without a space between "LP" and "750-4 SV") in each Forza title it appears in.
