The vehicles of Horatio Pagani represent a crossroads between art and automobile. The BC takes everything that makes the Huayra exquisite then embellishes the interior and exterior to make what is already a hypercar even more exclusive. The BC is named after Benny Caiola, one of the first Pagani customers and a close friend of Horatio’s. With only 20 models slated for production, rarity is just one of the many benefits found in the BC. Of course there is more power, more downforce and aggressive looks to match the increased outputs. Deciding what to appreciate more will be the hardest decision you will face upon acquiring this masterpiece.[1]

The 2016 Pagani Huayra BC is a high-performance, track-focused variant of the Pagani Huayra hypercar. It was introduced in the Forza Horizon 3 DLC add-on The Smoking Tire Car Pack and has appeared as standard in every subsequent Forza title.

Unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Huayra BC is named after the late Benny Caiola, a friend of Horacio Pagani, and the first owner of a Pagani car in recorded history.[2] Only 20 units were made, all of which have been sold out.[1]

Overview[edit | edit source]

Design[edit | edit source]

The Huayra BC takes on a more radical aerodynamic design, including a fixed rear wing supported by a rear air diffuser stretching the entire rear width of the car and a more aggressive front bumper with a front splitter and winglets for increased downforce. Its dry weight has been reduced to 2,862 lb (1,298 kg) thanks to the use of a new material called 'carbon triax' which Pagani claims is 50% lighter and 20% stronger than regular carbon fiber.[3] The Huayra BC comes with a lighter titanium exhaust system, new aluminum alloy wheels, and a stripped out interior. The tires are Pirelli P-Zero Corsas that feature 12 different rubber compounds, and the suspension and wishbones are made of aeronautical grade aluminum, known as Avional.[3] All of the exterior components in the car are used to optimize downforce and drag.

Specifications[edit | edit source]

The 6.0 L twin-turbocharged M158 engine from the Huayra has been upgraded for the Huayra BC to make 755 PS (745 hp; 555 kW) and 811 ft·lb (1,100 N·m) of torque.[2] In the games, though, it is wrongly featured with 750 PS (740 hp; 552 kW) and 1,000 N·m (738 ft·lb) of torque along with its real life dry weight of 2,685 lb (1,218 kg), which are only true to the car's pre-release specifications.

The Huayra BC uses an all-new seven-speed Xtrac sequential manual transmission with a single-clutch gearbox. The reason Pagani stuck with the single-clutch gearbox is because it weighs 40% less than its dual-clutch counterparts.[3][4]

Performance[edit | edit source]

  • 0 - 60 mph (0 - 97 km/h): 2.8 ~ 3.27 seconds
  • 0 - 100 mph (0 - 161 km/h): 5.6 ~ 5.74 seconds
  • Top speed: 231 ~ 240 mph (372 ~ 386 km/h)
  • Power-to-weight ratio: 582 PS (574 hp; 428 kW) per tonne

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

  • The Pagani Huayra BC retains the Huayra's general performance traits, albeit with drastic improvements to handling, braking, and overall grip, as well as moderate improvements to the car's overall acceleration and top speed, the latter being 386 km/h (240 mph) in Forza Horizon 3 and 390 km/h (242 mph) in Forza Horizon 4.
  • With the abovementioned performance traits, the Huayra BC is capable of taking on mid-high-end hypercars like the Pagani Zonda R, McLaren P1, LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, Aston Martin Vulcan, and Lamborghini Veneno in circuit racing.
  • In Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Horizon 4, the Huayra BC is also a decent tool in Class S2 if upgraded and tuned properly.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

  • The Huayra BC's single-clutch gearbox poses as a problem for the Huayra BC; despite having a twin-turbocharged engine making at least 740 horsepower, it cannot outperform the McLaren P1, LaFerrari, or Porsche 918 Spyder in acceleration and top speed (the latter two only in Motorsport), although it comes close to the LaFerrari and Veneno in handling (the latter is AWD instead of RWD).
  • In the Forza Horizon series, the Huayra BC, although competitive, is mostly inferior to any of the Class S2 and Class X "kings" like the Mosler MT900S, Maserati MC12 Forza Edition, Maserati MC12 Versione Corsa, Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, Ferrari F40 Competizione, Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020, McLaren Senna, and Apollo Intensa Emozione (the latter two especially on handling-focused routes, over where the Apollo IE can reign supreme).
  • The Huayra BC, unfortunately, is one of the least desirable cars for making designs as at least 60% of the car's body cannot be painted with decals, especially the top and rear. Any part painted with carbon fiber will block out all decals applied to it.

Conversions[edit | edit source]

  • Drivetrain
    • AWD

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • As with the Huayra and Zonda Cinque Roadster, opening the Huayra BC's rear engine cover will automatically open the doors and close them.
    • Also, like with the Huayra, the Huayra BC's active aerodynamic flaps at the rear cannot be deployed if the rear engine cover is flung open.

Mistakes[edit | edit source]

  • As stated above, all of the Huayra BC's carbon fiber parts are unpaintable. This may have been due to errors when modeling the car, though.
  • As noted above, the Huayra BC only has its pre-release engine specifications instead of the actual production specifications like it has in real life.
  • The Huayra BC is incorrectly depicted with a lower-pitched variant of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4's L539 V12 engine note in Forza Horizon 4.
  • The Huayra BC's stock front bumper and rear wing wrongly lack adjustable downforce.
