- “A departure from traditional Lamborghini styling is represented in the Veneno. Radical bulging lines, a wing that looks like it belongs on an LMP car, and aero on top of more aero; these are just a few of the elements that make the most expensive production car in the world unique. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini, the Veneno is a street-legal racecar, loosely based on the Aventador. We say “loosely,” because not only is the Veneno more powerful and higher-revving, thanks to larger air intakes and a modified exhaust system, but its form is quite obviously its own. Cues have been taken from the Aventador in the Y-shaped headlights and taillights, but the Veneno is much more of a design experiment like the 2006 Miura concept; with a quality that is at once timeless and jaw-dropping in all categories, including that $4.1 million price tag. Lamborghini built one for itself as a demo car, and sold three, each accented with a color from the Italian flag. The red accented car went to to Antoine Dominic, owner of Lamborghini Long Island. The second, with green accents, went to prominent Lamborghini fan Kris Singh. The final model, with white accents, was caught in Hong Kong on its way to Macau. Seeing one in the real world will most likely never happen, so take advantage of Forzavista and get as up close and personal with this stunning masterpiece.”[1]
The 2013 Lamborghini Veneno (Veneno, Lambo Veneno[2][3]) is a limited production hypercar based on the Lamborghini Aventador. It is featured in every Xbox One and Windows 10 Forza title and appears as DLC content in Forza Motorsport 5 via the Hot Wheels Car Pack and Forza Motorsport 6 as an exclusive DLC car for VIPs.
Designed to celebrate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary, the Veneno's name is derived from the Italian word for "venom".[4] It is also famous for being one of the most expensive and rarest cars in existence, with a starting price tag of US$4.5 million, as well as having only 4 units built (3 for customers).[5][6]
Overview[edit | edit source]
Continuing with Lamborghini's tradition of naming its cars after famous fighting bulls, the Veneno is named after a famous fighting bull known for killing its matador in 1914.
Design and specifications[edit | edit source]
The Veneno is Lamborghini's interpretation of a racing prototype built for the road. The front end is designed for maximum airflow and improved downforce. The redesigned front and rear arches direct air around the car to reduce excessive lift and help i generating downforce. The smooth underbody ensures uninterrupted airflow. The large carbon fiber rear wing connected to the car via an LMP1-style central fin is three-way adjustable. The wheels of the car, measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, feature a turbine-like design and direct air to cool the car's carbon ceramic braking systems. The central-locking hubs on the wheels allow for easy installation and removal. The car utilizes Pirelli P Zero tires with red tire walls.[4]
The Veneno's design is largely inspired by LMP1 cars and other race cars. The Y-shaped design elements are a carry over from the Aventador's design language, while the rear wheel arches are a throwback to the Countach. The vented engine cover improves cooling to the engine while the extreme aerodynamic elements present on the car signify it's track focused characteristics.[6]
The Veneno retains the carbon fiber monocoque chassis with aluminium front and rear subframes from the Aventador along with the push-rod suspension system. The interior is based largely on the Aventador's interior but now incorporates the "carbon skin" element introduced on the Aventador J.
The Veneno weighs up to 275 lb (125 kg) less than the Aventador LP 700-4, coming down to a dry weight of 3,197 lb (1,450 kg). It is featured with higher weight statistics in each Forza title:
- 3,218 lb (1,460 kg) in all games except Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Horizon 4, although this weight rating is extremely unrealistic.
- 3,373 lb (1,530 kg) in Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Horizon 4.
The Veneno's engine is the 6.5 L L539 V12, upgraded to make 750 PS (740 hp; 552 kW) at 8,400 rpm and 690 N·m (509 ft·lb) of torque at 5,500 rpm. The Veneno has larger air intakes and a modified exhaust system, owing to its increased power.[7]
The seven-speed ISR semi-automatic is also retained from the Aventador and includes a new "track" setting for improved performance on a race track.[6]
Performance[edit | edit source]
The Veneno is capable of 0 - 60 mph (0 - 97 km/h) in 2.7 seconds, 0 - 100 mph (0 - 161 km/h) in 5.8 seconds, and a top speed of 221 mph (356 km/h), which it can easily exceed in Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Horizon 4.[8]
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
- As the Veneno is one of the most expensive cars in the series, the player should not focus on getting the Veneno until after having obtained all other hypercars. The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is a cheaper but better alternative.
- The Veneno features drastically improved handling from the Aventador, as well as quicker acceleration, including 100 mph (161 km/h) done in 5.8 seconds. In some cases, the Veneno can even beat the LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and Porsche 918 Spyder on the track.
- This is most especially useful in the Forza Motorsport series, where the Veneno's handling allows it to dominate on handling-focused routes.
- The Veneno's top speed, on the other hand, is decreased due to its higher downforce, leaving it more vulnerable to its rivals on longer tracks. This is most strongly felt in the Forza Motorsport series and Forza Horizon 2, where the Veneno cannot even exceed 209 mph (336 km/h) without upgrades at all.
Game-specific[edit | edit source]
- In Forza Horizon 3, the Veneno's value has been drastically increased from 1,220,000 CR to 4,500,000 CR, making it the most expensive hypercar in the game.
- In Forza Motorsport 7, the Veneno can gain a massive handling increase under homologation for the Hypercar division. Its handling can reach 7.3 while staying in Class R.
- In Forza Horizon 4, the Veneno is still decent in Class S2, but is otherwise inferior to many of the new Class S2 "kings" like the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR, Ferrari F40 Competizione, McLaren Senna, and Apollo Intensa Emozione.
- In Forza Horizon 4, the Veneno is used in the World's Fastest Rentals chapter "2013 Lamborghini Veneno".

- Aspiration Swap
- Twin Turbo
Trivia[edit | edit source]
Mistakes / glitches[edit | edit source]
- The Veneno's G-force meter does not function at all.
- In Forza Horizon 4, the Veneno is wrongly heavier than the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV due to the latter weighing 3,362 lb (1,525 kg).
