Koenigsegg has built just over 100 cars since it began production out of a converted fighter jet hangar in 2003. Each car is hand-built to exacting specifications and excruciating detail at Koenigsegg’s factory in Ängelholm, Sweden. The One:1, pronounced as a ratio (“one-to-one”), is the company’s most radical accomplishment thus far. The strange name is representative of the nearly inconceivable 1:1 power to weight ratio. That’s 1341 hp (when running on E85) in a vehicle that weighs just 1360 kg with all fluids and a half tank of fuel. The One:1 will see its driver from 0 to 250 mph in just 20 seconds and can theoretically reach a 273 mph top speed – take it for a spin and try hitting that mark yourself. This rocket ship with wheels intends to set a new lap record at the Nürburgring once management at the famous racing venue allows lap records to be set again. With each of the six $2.4 million hypercars already sold, getting a hand on the wheel of this ultra-exotic in Forza Motorsport 6 is the closest the rest of us may ever get.[1]

The 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 (Koenigsegg One), sometimes abbreviated as K1, is a limited production hypercar that was produced between 2014 and 2015 as a track oriented variant of the Koenigsegg Agera. It was added to the Forza series in Forza Motorsport 6's Mobil 1 Car Pack DLC.[1]

Unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the One:1's name is derived from the fact that it has an equal amount of metric horsepower (1,360 PS) per kilogram of weight (1,360 kg).[2][3] Koenigsegg also took two cars to the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where they were displayed alongside other hypercars like the McLaren P1, LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Pagani Huayra.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The One:1 was produced between 2014 and 2015, with only seven units built, including prototypes.

Design / Chassis[edit | edit source]

The One:1 features more aggressive aerodynamic features, including a race front splitter that was designed to increase the amount of generated downforce. Koenigsegg had to sacrifice a few things to be able to achieve their goal with the car. There is an airscoop on the removable targa top roof and an extra set of radiators in the front compartment, making it impossible to store the roof in the boot like previous Agera models.

The One:1 has a weight of 2,998 lb (1,360 kg) with all fluids and 50% fuel, as well as a 44% / 56% front/rear weight distribution balance.[2]

Engine[edit | edit source]

The One:1 has a 5,065 cc (5.1 L; 309.1 in3) twin-turbocharged V8 engine, a development of that of the Agera, producing 1,360 PS (1,341 hp; 1,000 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 1,371 N·m (1,011 ft·lb) of torque at 6,000 rpm, with over 1,000 N·m (738 ft·lb) available from 3,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm. The engine has a higher rev limit, set to 8,250 rpm.[4][2]

With its aforementioned weight rating, the One:1 has a power-to-weight ratio of 1,000 PS (986 hp; 735 kW) per tonne, or 1 PS per kilogram.[2] Because of this, the One:1 is sometimes billed as the world's first "megacar".

Drivetrain[edit | edit source]

The One:1 retains the rear-driving seven-speed dual-clutch paddle shift automatic transmission found in other Agera models. It has the following gear ratios:

  • Final Drive: 3.45
  • 1st: 3.13
  • 2nd: 2.10
  • 3rd: 1.52
  • 4th: 1.17
  • 5th: 0.94
  • 6th: 0.78
  • 7th: 0.69

Performance[edit | edit source]

  • 0 - 60 mph (0 - 97 km/h): 2.7 seconds
  • 0 - 100 mph (0 - 161 km/h): 4.55 seconds
  • 0 - 124 mph (0 - 200 km/h): 6.6 seconds
  • 0 - 186 mph (0 - 300 km/h): 11.92 seconds[5]
  • 0 - 200 mph (0 - 322 km/h): 14.328 seconds
  • 0 - 249 mph (0 - 400 km/h): 20 seconds[2]
  • 0 - 186 - 0 mph (0 - 300 - 0 km/h): 17.95 seconds[5]
  • Top speed: 433 km/h (269 mph)

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

  • The Koenigsegg One:1 is a hypercar capable of both extreme speeds and superb handling, although it is also a car for more advanced drivers and comes with a very high cost; 1,500,000 CR in the Forza Motorsport series and 2,850,000 CR in the Forza Horizon series.
  • The One:1 was gifted to all Forza Horizon 3 players who had a VIP Membership in either Forza Horizon 2 or Forza Motorsport 6 before first playing Forza Horizon 3.
  • In Forza Horizon 4, the One:1 is used in the second World's Fastest Rentals chapter, "2015 Koenigsegg One:1".

Advantages[edit | edit source]

The One:1 is among one of the three fastest stock production cars in the Forza series to accelerate to 249 mph (400 km/h), with the other two being the Regera and Agera RS. Compared to the Agera RS, the One:1 is more track focused, thus having superior handling and braking, although the difference is not too dramatic. As one of the fastest cars by speed, it has a maximum top speed of 269 mph (433 km/h), which it reaches in the Forza Horizon series. These performance traits make it a handy tool for Speed Traps and Speed Zones.

In Forza Horizon 3, the Koenigsegg One:1 is the best X Class RWD car in the Hypercars division, as it is capable of sharp steering and handling similar to the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4. It is because of this that the One:1 is also one of the fastest cars around Horizon Australia's Speed Zones. It is also still capable of competing in S2 Class if tuned properly.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

A trait common to Koenigsegg cars is strong wheelspin under full throttle. Due to having so much power and being rear-wheel-drive, the One:1 tends to spin out of control under full throttle. For this reason, proper throttle management, including feathering the throttle, is very important when driving this car, especially when entering and exiting corners. Compared to other similarly fast cars on the track, like the McLaren Senna and Mosler MT900S, the One:1 has quite a lot of understeer.

In Forza Motorsport 7, the One:1 is hurt greatly by the Hypercar division's homologation rules, leaving it at the mercy of the Aston Martin Vulcan, McLaren Senna, and Lamborghini Veneno. In Forza Horizon 4, the One:1's dominance in X Class has ended due to the superior performance and speed of the Mosler MT900S, Apollo Intensa Emozione, Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione, and Maserati MC12 Forza Edition. Plus, it is no longer competitive in S2 Class either, and its acceleration and speed are outclassed by the Agera RS.

Customization[edit | edit source]

The Koenigsegg One:1 has two advanced paint groups for both the body and hood:

  • Paint Group 1, the main body color.
  • Paint Group 2, the main stripe color.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In Forza Horizon 4, the One:1's engine, named the "5.1L V8TT" in-game, can be swapped into the Koenigsegg CC family: the CC8S, CCX, and CCGT.
  • The One:1 is featured on the Summer Hypercars flyer in Forza Horizon 4.

Mistakes[edit | edit source]

  • In Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 7, the One:1's steering wheel buttons erroneously overlap with those from the Agera.
  • In Forza Horizon 4, an error during development resulted in the One:1's second manufacturer color having the wrong stripe color on the sides.
  • As with other Agera models, the One:1's windshield wiper is placed in the vertical position even when the car is driven.
