The Audi R8 V10 plus 5.2 FSI quattro [Typ 4S] (leaderboard names: Audi R8 V10 plus and Audi R8 '16), also known as simply Audi R8 V10 plus, is a mid-engined supercar produced by Audi as part of the Typ 4S-codenamed second generation (2016-present) of the Audi R8.
Introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Typ 4S V10 plus shares its technical automobile platform and V10 engine with the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Design / Chassis[edit | edit source]
The Typ 4S R8 V10 plus shares its technical automobile platform with the Huracán LP 610-4, but is heavier by 5 lb (2 kg) at 3,428 lb (1,555 kg).
Exterior-wise, the Typ 4S R8 V10 plus has received a makeover from the Typ 42 R8. Its headlights and taillights are less curvy and feature more sharp straight lines. In addition, it features a fixed carbon fiber rear wing in place of active aerodynamics. The body is lighter and stiffer, thanks to substititution of several large aluminium parts in the shell by carbon fiber. Extra electronics are in the chassis compared to the first generation to improve handling. The Audi TT's Virtual Cockpit was also made available.
Engine / Drivetrain[edit | edit source]
The Typ 4S R8 V10 plus inherits the Huracán LP 610-4's 5,204 cc (5.2 L; 317.6 in3) naturally aspirated V10 engine, with unchanged specifications, including 610 PS (602 hp; 449 kW) and 413 ft·lb (560 N·m) of torque.[1] In addition, it has a 7-speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission.
Performance[edit | edit source]
- 0 - 60 mph (0 - 97 km/h): 2.7 seconds
- Top speed: 205 mph (330 km/h)
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
The Typ 4S R8 V10 plus drives identically to the Huracán, but it has a slightly higher top speed with a trade-off of slightly reduced braking and handling. Both cars also have the same engine swaps, but the R8 does not have a bodykit of any type.
In any case, the R8 V10 plus is decent on the track, as while it has inferior handling to the Mercedes-AMG GT R and Ferrari 488 GTB, it can beat the Huracán on speed-focused routes.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
Mistakes[edit | edit source]
- All Forza games incorrectly display the Audi R8 V10 plus's power output as 610 hp (455 kW), ignoring that Audi actually specifies 610 as the R8 V10 plus's power rating in metric horsepower (PS), which then translates to 602 units of mechanical horsepower (hp/bhp).
