The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Coupé (AM Vanquish '17) is an Aston Martin Vanquish-based limited production coupé grand tourer[1] that is featured in Forza Horizon 4 as part of Series 12.[2]
The Vanquish Zagato, a mixture of Aston Martin's design and material qualities with Italian design house Zagato, is among one of the rarest production cars in existence. It comes in both Shooting Brake and Coupé styles.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Technical details[edit | edit source]
The AM Vanquish Zagato Coupé is powered by the AM29 V12 engine, which displaces 5,935 cc (5.9 L; 362.2 in3) and produces 595 hp (603 PS; 444 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 630 N·m (465 ft·lb) of torque at 5,500 rpm. It is derived from the Vanquish S Coupé and Volante models.[3][4]
It retains the eight-speed ZF 8HP70 Touchtronic III automatic transmission from the 2014 to 2018 model years of the Vanquish.
Design[edit | edit source]
The Vanquish Zagato Coupé has a similar shape to the Vanquish it is based on, but it has a larger front grill and "bladed" LED taillights instead of the signature wing-shaped taillights similar to those of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato and Vulcan. It also features a wraparound glass and visor-like double-bubble roof panel that marries the Zagato design house founder's early aeronautics background with a traditional race-inspired design. The interior of the car uses a quilted pattern on its leather seats and door panels, along with herringbone carbon fiber trim and Zagato badges.[5]
The Vanquish Zagato Coupé has a curb weight of 3,891 lb (1,765 kg).[4]
Performance[edit | edit source]
The Vanquish Zagato Coupé, from a standstill, reaches 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and 100 mph (161 km/h) in 7.7 seconds. Like with the Vanquish S, it has a normal top speed of 324 km/h (201 mph).[4]
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
Forza Horizon 4[edit | edit source]
Like with the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera that was released before it, the Vanquish Zagato Coupé can receive a unique engine swap in the form of the Vulcan's 7.0 L V12 engine. This engine offers a moderate performance increase to the Vanquish Zagato due to the engine being lighter than the AM29 in the Vanquish Zagato.
