The 2019 LEGO Speed Champions McLaren Senna (LEGO Senna), marked with the number 75892, is a LEGO version of the McLaren Senna road hypercar.[1][2] It appears in the second Forza Horizon 4 expansion, the LEGO Speed Champions Expansion, which was unveiled at E3 2019.[3]
Overview[edit | edit source]
The in-game version of the LEGO Speed Champions Senna, while based on the toy version, has exactly identical specifications to the normal Senna, including the engine.[4]
The toy version of the car includes a McLaren racing driver minifigure in a racing suit featuring the logos of Pirelli and the McLaren Senna; this same minifigure is also featured in the games.[1][4] The race-ready, buildable LEGO Senna comes with a minifigure cockpit, removable windshield, wheels with rubber tires and interchangeable rims, interactive rear wing, translucent light-style elements, McLaren and Senna logo stickers, and authentic design details.[1] All of these are featured in the in-game version of the car.[4]
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
- The LEGO Senna is unlocked once the player has collected 2,600 Bricks for their Master Builder's House.
- The LEGO Senna has similar overall performance to the normal Senna except for a higher top speed and slightly better handling (assuming both cars do not have their front bumpers and rear wings upgraded).
- The LEGO Senna's understeery nature is caused by the smaller range of upgrades the LEGO Senna has, including a lack of upgrades to the front bumper and rear wing, thus causing the normal Senna to have better handling.
- Despite these shortcomings, the LEGO Senna is not a bad car to use in Class S2, even though it is generally inferior to the Apollo Intensa Emozione, Ferrari F40 Competizione, and Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR.
Conversions[edit | edit source]
- Drivetrain
- AWD
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Different from the normal Senna, the LEGO Senna's in-game year is 2019 instead of 2018.
- Like with the other two LEGO Speed Champions cars, the LEGO Senna cannot be painted in any color other than its manufacturer colors.
- The LEGO Senna is the third McLaren car to be a cover car of any Forza game or expansion, following the normal Senna on the cover of Forza Horizon 4 and the McLaren P1 on the cover of Forza Motorsport 5.
Mistakes[edit | edit source]
- Curiously, just like the normal Senna, Land Rover Defender 90, and Lamborghini Urus, the LEGO Senna does not appear in the Forza Favorites Special Car Theme despite being on the cover of the Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions Expansion.
- Like with the LEGO F40 C, the LEGO Senna is also not listed in the Ferrari vs. McLaren Raceoff Special Car Theme.
